Concept Brief

With our initial meeting between Sales Agent and Clients, it was a very clear concept brief. Pack up over 40 years of personal contents from this well loved family home, then make it over for the next family to enjoy. Within 48 hours, a our in depth brief was complied and the works began.

This project encompassed so many factors decluttering, renovations and staging for sale. Internally all walls were repainted, carpet replaced, staircase polished and bathrooms renovated. We were giving a tight 4 week turn around. With a common goal in mind of taking this tired house and present the perfect family home.

Project Highlights

As with most classic family homes left to the next generation, we had a multitude of emotions at play. This made for a very interesting and sensitive process as we stripped the house of all family personality. We were asked to relocate antique furniture and belongings to various interstate relatives all while completing a substantial renovation to the home.

Family Friendly Floorplan

The floorplan of this home had not had a makeover since the early 70’s. Family life over the last few decades has changed dramatically. A huge formal dining space made the perfect footprint for a large multipurpose media room and a more casual dining space was created in what was previously an empty void. We were able to incorporate a study nook in the Master Suite for the modern work from home office space.

Final Result

The brief was clear from the beginning, make the home marketable for modern family living. The final result well surpassed the expectation for all involved. What made TDC stand out for this family was the gentle care and sensitivity to diverse family personalities. What could have caused a family to crumble turned out to be an amicable process with a very positive sales result.
